This particular site for International Color Posters has a Flash intro page that scrolls left to right. The interior HTML pages are color coordinated for each section of the site. The gallery section uses rollovers that go from screened images to full color. The corresponding gallery piece appears on the right to showcase the work. Design of the site was done by Leighton Hubbell and completed by a programmer offsite. The site can be viewed here.
